types:
Generally
asthma can be classified in:
- Intermittent asthma
- Persistent
asthma (mild, moderate or severe)
Besides de usual Asthma with the
wheezing commonly known, recently appear another variant without
wheezing.
Other types of
asthma are also recognized:

Extrinsic (allergic) asthma
— Caused by an allergic reaction (pollen, foods, mold, dust mites,
pet dander).

Intrinsic asthma
— Not caused by an allergic reaction.

— A persistent cough caused by asthma.

Chronic severe
corticosteroid-dependent asthma
— Requires continued treatment with oral corticosteroids.

aspergillosis — Caused by
an allergic reaction to fungi in the lung.
